Dearest Mark, 

Here I am with your cat pins, which live on my refrigerator, and pictures of my cats. I wish they could be with you, since petting them is wonderful for stress relief. 

We met in 1986, and have been friends since. Over 30 years! Amazing. I would add a picture of the model you taught me late night at Wholemeal, Maekawa's Demon, but there's no way I can ever reproduce it. I guess I'd have to be a lot younger, have a couple of glasses of wine, and you at my side. And, yes, we both remember my attack when you had the audacity to touch my model. 😊 Seriously, you helped me learn to teach origami with a sense of humor, and to share origami as Lillian, Michael and Alice intended. 

All my love to you and Arlene, who gave you true happiness and a family. Besides your origami family, of course, which is huge and spread through the world.
